Financing of Polgahawela, Pothuhera and Alawwa Integrated Water Supply Project, Kundasale - Haragama Water Supply Project and Aluthgama, Mathugama and Agalawatta Integrated Water Supply Project through the Local Banks

- The cabinet of Ministers has already granted approval, to implement the Water Supply Project of Kundasale-Haragama and the Integrated Water Supply Projects of the Polgahawela, Pothuhera and Alawwa; and Aluthgama, Mathugama and Agalawatta. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Prime Minister, Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic affairs, to authorize the National Water Supply and Drainage Board to obtain the funds through the local banks to implement the Projects, was approved by the Cabinet.
