Construction of an Administrative Building for the Ministry of Higher Education

- Since the building facilities found in the Ministry of Higher Education which is presently situated in a state land in Ward Place, Colombo 07, are inadequate for the present day service requirements, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to demolish a building more than 25 years old and to make use of the premises for the construction of a new Administrative Building consisting with eight (08) floors and a floor area of 64,255 sq.ft., was approved by the Cabinet.
