Development of infrastructure facilities of the Universities of Kelaniya, Visual and Performing Arts, Moratuwa, Rajarata, Sri Jayawardenapura, Colombo and the University of Colombo School of Computing

- Development of infrastructure facilities of Universities and Higher Education Institutions is essential to produce professionally competent graduates who par with the existing development needs of the economy of the country and cater to the needs of the international job market. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to implement the proposed 09 projects of developing the infrastructure facilities of the Universities of Kelaniya, Visual and Performing Arts, Moratuwa, Sri Jayawardenapura, Rajarata, Colombo and the University of Colombo School of Computing, at an investment of Rs.1,706.9 million, during the period of 2016-2019, was approved by the Cabinet.
