The Contract for Consultancy Service for Reviewing of Design and Construction Supervision of Headworks of Moragahakanda Reservoir

- The projects of Moragahakanda and Kalu Ganga have been identified as projects that provide strong contribution towards the provision of water for the agricultural activities, supply of electricity and the development of the livelihood of the people of the area and by now, a considerable quantity of work has been completed. Presently 60% of the head work of Moragahakanda project has been completed and it has been planned to complete the construction work by March 2017. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to award the Contract for Consultancy Services for reviewing of design and construction supervision of the head work of this project, to the Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
