Obtaining Allocations for the Payment of Compensation for the lands acquired for the Second Stage of the Hambantota Port Project

- The construction work of the Phase II of this project is nearing completion by now and therefore, the joint proposal made by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Ports and Shipping and Hon. Sagala Rathnayake, Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, to obtain the provisions required for the payment of compensation, in respect of the lands acquired for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
