Obtaining loan facilities from the Export Import (EXIM) Bank of India for the implementation of 03 Water Supply Projects

- The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to authorize the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, to enter into financial agreements with the EXIM Bank of India, to obtain loan facilities required for the implementation of the following water supply projects, was approved by the Cabinet, taking into consideration the positive socio-economic benefits received by the people living in such areas:

* Aluthgama, Mathugama and Agalawatta Integrated Water Supply Project (US$ 164.9 million)

* Kundasale - Haragama Water Supply Project (US$ 146.31 million)

* Polgahawela, Pothuhera and Alawwa Integrated Water Supply Project (US$ 91.8 million)
