Revoking the Homeopathy Act, No. 07 of 1970, and getting a new Act passed in its place

- Approval of the Cabinet has already been granted to repeal the Homeopathy Act, No. 07 of 1970 and pass a new Act in its place. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to present the Homeopathy Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman that provides for the establishment of the Homeopathic Medical Council, registration of Homeopathic practitioners and Homeopathic pharmacists, registration and regulation of Homeopathic institutions, promotion, fostering and regulation of the Homeopathic system of medicine, in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
