Green Fishery Harbour Project - Mirissa

- The proposal made by H.E the President, Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to implement the 'Green Fishery Harbour Project' prepared by the Marine Environment Protection Authority, at an investment of Rs.30.4 million of local funds, with a view to building the sustainability of the fisheries and tourism industries associated with the Mirissa Fishery Harbour through converting the said harbour, which is one of the major harbours situated in the Southern Province, into a Green Fishery Harbour, was approved by the Cabinet.
