Provision of a pair of footwear for students in the difficult, the most difficult and the isolated Schools

- The proposal made by Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, the Minister of Education, to purchase 640,000 pairs of footwear, under the programme for the provision of a pair of footwear for students considered to be in the difficult, the most difficult and the isolated Schools, at an estimated cost of Rs.640 million, in accordance with the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
