Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme

- Asian Development Bank and French Development Agency (AFD) will provide US$ 53.91 million for the Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme. This programme is implemented under five major parts and the enhancement of the Transmission Infrastructure Capacity is one such project. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the Contract for the construction of transmission line under that project, as per the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
