Construction of the proposed Medical Ward Complex in the District General Hospital, Chilaw

- The District General Hospital, Chilaw being the major hospital situated in the Puttlam District in the North-Western Province, provides patient care services for the people of Chilaw as well as for its suburbs. In order to provide a qualitative patient care service equipped with modern facilities to the people who benefit from the hospital, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to construct a new medical ward complex, at an estimated cost of Rs.696 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
