Project for the strengthening of the Small and Medium scale Enterprises in Sri Lanka

- This project is implemented with the objective of strengthening of the Small and Medium scale Enterprises and enhancing the opportunities for the employment. The Asian Development Bank has agreed to provide US$ 100 million for the purpose. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to conduct negotiations with that Bank and to enter into the relevant agreements, was approved by the Cabinet.
