Central Expressway Project - Selection of Contractors and Local Supervision Consultants for the construction of Section III from Pothuhera to Galagedera

- The Section III of the Central Expressway, from Pothuhera to Galagedera consists of 32.5 km and it has been planned to complete the constructions of that section within 36 months. The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to have the entire section constructed by local contractors, calling competitive bids, dividing it into five contract packages of equal value and consist in length of 4.5 - 7.5 km, was approved by the Cabinet.
