Construction of a Record Room for the Department of Motor Traffic, in the Werahera Premises

- By now, the Department of Motor Traffic has registered more than 60 lakhs of vehicles. Since the space available in the Head Office premises of the said Department at Narahenpita is inadequate to safely store the transfer files which added at the time of transfer of vehicles and the original files related to registered vehicles, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to construct a new record room in the Werahera premises, was approved by the Cabinet.
