Completion of the Remaining Construction Work of the District Secretariat Building, Colombo

- With the purpose of establishing the government institutions which provide services to the general public of Colombo district under one roof, the Colombo District Secretariat is being built with 20 storeys in the Narahenpita area, and most of its construction work has already been completed. By now, several government offices carry out their services within this building and therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Vajira Abeywardena, the Minister of Home Affairs, to take necessary steps to complete the remaining construction work expeditiously, was approved by the Cabinet.
