Amendment to the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, to amend the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance for the purposes of increasing the women's representation in Local Authorities, introducing of 'Ward System' during the elections in said institutions and the taking of necessary measures to make the electoral system more efficient and effective, was approved by the Cabinet.
