Establishment of an Institute for Combinatorial Advanced Research and Education for General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU-CARE)

- The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) is a well-established higher education institute which conducts research and other tertiary educational activities. That University has planned to establish an Institute for Combinatorial Advanced Research and Education consisting with divisions of research and enhancement, commercial and security, for the promotion of scientific researches. This Institute will work collaboratively with other research Institutions in the country and will also work as a focal point for national security concerns adhering to the national and international norms and guidelines. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to establish an Institute for Combinatorial Advanced Research and Education in the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU-CARE), was approved by the Cabinet.
