The Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Human Settlement Programme

- The United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN Habitat), the UN agency for the Human Settlement Development performs a significant role through providing technical assistance in the areas such as urban administration, housing, environmental management, waste management and poverty reduction. The proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing and Construction, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the United Nations Human Settlement Programme and the Ministry of Housing and Construction of Sri Lanka, to provide facilities for mutual cooperation, was approved by the Cabinet.
