Increasing Excise Duty on Cigarettes and Liquor

- The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance to present the Gazette Notification issued to increase the Excise duty on cigarettes, arrack and locally produced and foreign liquor, in Parliament, in terms of Section 3 of the Excise (Special Provisions) Act No.13 of 1989, was approved by the Cabinet.
