Asian Development Bank funded Integrated Road Investment Programme - Award of contracts for four civil work contract packages in the Sabaragamuwa Province

- The Integrated Road Investment Programme (i-Road Project) is implemented with the objective of improving the connectivity among the selected Rural Centres through rehabilitation of National Roads, Provincial Roads and processing By-Roads and Access Roads. The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the four contracts, under this programme, pertaining to rehabilitation and improvement of 75 km of rural roads in the Kegalle District at a cost of Rs.1,972 million and 255 km of rural roads in the Ratnapura District at a cost of Rs.6,425 million, as per the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
