Procurement of Fertilizer for the Year 2015 (November Delivery)

- The supply of fertilizer to the farmers on a subsidy scheme under the Fertilizer Subsidy Programme is being implemented by the Department of Agriculture through the Government owned Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (CFC) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Limited. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture, to award the relevant contracts for the supply of the necessary quantity of fertilizer, as recommended by the Special Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SSCAPC), to be distributed among farmers, for the month of November 2015, was approved by the Cabinet.
