Mid Year Fiscal Position Report - 2015

- In terms of the Section 10 of the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act, No.3 of 2003, the Minister of Finance is required to issue the Mid Year Fiscal Position Report to the general public by 30th June of every financial year and thereafter, to table it in Parliament. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to present 'the Mid Year Fiscal Position Report - 2015' which provides analyses of the macroeconomic situation of the country and the global economic trends and a detailed explanation on fiscal developments along with the updated information on the government's fiscal position pertaining to the first four (04) months of 2015, in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
