- As another measure of providing an effective health service to the public, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine, to award the relevant contracts, to purchase a MRI Scanner, a SPECT Scanner, a PET-CT Scanner each for the Epilepsy Unit and to install a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) System at the National Hospital and to select relevant companies to maintain the said equipments in future, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
