- The purpose of entering into this Agreement is to further strengthen the friendly relations between two countries and to simplify the relevant procedures to facilitate the movement of citizens of Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan between the two countries. The permission is granted for the Nationals of States of one Party, holders of valid diplomatic or service/official passports to enter, leave and transit through the territory of the State of the other Party without obtaining visas for a period of thirty (30) days, through this Agreement. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. John Amarathunga, the Minister of Public Order and Christian Affairs, to enter into the above Agreement between Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan, was approved by the Cabinet.
