- Laggala and Wilgamuwa Water Supply Projects implemented by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, under the supervision of the Ministry of Urban Development, Water Supply and Drainage, are expected to be completed by the year 2017. The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe, the Minister of Policy Planning, Economic Affairs, Child, Youth and Cultural Affairs, to authorize the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, to secure the funds required for the implementation of the said two projects from the local banks, was approved by the Cabinet.
