- Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme has been implemented under the loan assistance of the Asian Development Bank obtained in the year 2014 and the medium voltage network efficiency improvement is being carried out under package 3 of this project. The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawake, the Minister of Power and Energy, to award the contract for the procurement of necessary machinery for the purpose, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
