- Sri Lanka is a member country of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. S.B. Navinna, the Minister of Labour, to present the Protocol to Convention 29, that is the ILO Protocol to the Convention on Forced Labour, and the Recommendation 203, that is the recommendation on supplementary measures for the effective suppression of forced labour, which was adopted in the 103rd Secession of the International Labour Conference held in 2014, in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
