- Commonwealth Heads of Valuation Agencies Conference (CHOVA) is held annually with the objective of providing opportunities to share a wide range of knowledge and views on utilization, rights, development and valuation of the properties among the member countries. The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to make necessary arrangements to hold the said Conference this time in Colombo in the month of October this year, with the participation of around 100 delegates from Commonwealth countries, was approved by the Cabinet.
