Procurement of Fertilizer for the Year 2015 (August / Mid-September Delivery)

- The supply of fertilizer to farmers at concessionary prices through the fertilizer subsidy programme is carried out by the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Limited (Commercial Fertilizer), under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture. Also taking into consideration that no appeals have been received with regard to the award of the tender, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture, to award the contract for the supply of fertilizer for distribution in August/mid-September 2015, as recommended by the Special Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SSCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
