- Supply of fertilizer to farmers at a subsidized price under the fertilizer subsidy programme is handled by the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Limited, under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture. The proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture, to award the contract for the supply of fertilizer for distribution during the month of September 2015, as per the recommendations of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Special Procurement Committee and of the Procurement Appeal Board, was approved by the Cabinet.
