- With a view to strengthening and enhancing the cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries and having recognized the tourism field as an important field for strengthening mutual understanding, developing goodwill and generating relationships between the people of the two countries, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Iraq, was approved by the Cabinet.
