Presenting the Gazette Notification issued for banning of Import and Use of Glyphosate Herbicide, in Parliament - As per the decision taken at the Cabinet Meeting held on 2015?05?27, the Import and Export Control Department has issued the Gazette (Extraordinary) Notification, No.1918/22 of 2015?06?11, to ban the import of Glyphosate Herbicide. The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to present the said Gazette Notification in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet. |
