- The proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, to appoint a Committee under the Chairmanship of the Secretary to the Ministry of Policy Planning, Economic Affairs, Child, Youth and Cultural Affairs, comprising of a representative each from the Presidential Secretariat and the Ministry of Finance to draft guidelines for Public Institutions, Ministries, Departments, Statutory Boards and Corporations on how the expenditure of the above funds should be incurred and also to decide on the requests made for obtaining such funds from the CSR, was approved by the Cabinet.
