- The proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the Minister of Internal Transport, to procure 18 sets of Diesel Multiple Units, 160 Passenger Coaches and 30 Oil Tank Wagons for augmenting the Rolling Stock capacity of the Sri Lanka Railways as identified in the 2015-2020 National Railways Development Strategic Framework, was approved by the Cabinet.
