- The objective of the above Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Scientist Exchange Programme is to expand channels for promote communication between Scientists and Researchers of the two countries and develop mutual understanding and friendship among them. The objective of the MoU on Co-establishing China – Sri Lanka Joint Laboratory on Biotechnology is to conduct high level joint researches, encourage technology transfers and strengthen the scientific and technological capacity. The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Sarath Amunugama, the Minister of Higher Education and Research to sign the above Memoranda of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
