- The proposal made by Hon. P. Harisan, the Minister of Social Services, Welfare and Livestock Development, to make provision for an allocation for the payment of Rs.2,000.00 each to a number of 386,080 Senior Citizens over 70 years of Age, who are adversely affected due to various reasons, was approved by the Cabinet.
