- The Finance Commission is entrusted with the task of making recommendations to the President, on the policies to be adopted in the distribution of funds to the Provinces, by the Government to meet their needs. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, to implement the recommendations made by the Finance Commission, for the year 2015 and to present them in Parliament notifying that the said recommendations will be made effective, was approved by the Cabinet.
