- Through this proposed project, it will be easy for the residents of Samawachathivu, to access and connect with the facilities such as highways, health and education. Accordingly, the living conditions and the livelihood of the people of Nedunatheevu, Chullimurichchantheevu, Pulichchankerny, Samawachathevu and Aalimtheevu will be improved. Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, informed the Cabinet that the action will be taken to utilize the unutilized sum of US$601,581 of the Trincomalee - Batticaloa Road Development Project, for the purpose, with the concurrence of the Saudi Fund for Development.
