- The Minister of Finance Hon. Ravi Karunanayake brought to the notice of the Cabinet the agreements to be entered into with the OPEC fund for International Development at the request of the Government of Sri Lanka, which would provide the funds necessary for rehabilitation of 27 kilo meters of selected roads under the Western Province Road Development Project and rehabilitation of A 5 road corridor from Badulla to Chenkaladi.
