- The proposal made by the Minister of Urban Development, Water Supply and Drainage, Hon. Rauff Hakeem to implement the above project and to proceed with the activities, with a view to strengthening the capacity of the Department of National Community Water Supply and to solve the drinking water issues and to improve the sanitary conditions of the people living in the districts of Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Nuwara-Eliya, Badulla, Moneragala, Kegalle and Ratnapura, was approved by the Cabinet.
