- Outer Circular Highway (OCH) Phase III starts from Kerawalapitiya and ends at Kadawatha, has a length of 9.32 km. The civil works contract approved under this Phase amounts to Rs.66,689 million and 95% of the above contract will be financed by the EXIM Bank of China. The land acquisition work in this regard is nearing completion by now and the total outstanding payment as compensation for land acquisition is Rs.1,100 million. The proposal made by the Minister of Highways and Investment Promotion, Hon. Kabir Hashim, to commence the work of the above project under the revised work programme as recommended by the Review Committee appointed to evaluate the technical and financial aspect of the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
