- One of the proposals included in the 100 days programme of the new government is the implementation of a guaranteed price of Rs.350/- for natural raw rubber produced by the Rubber Small Holders. This proposal is also included in the Budget proposals presented in Parliament on 2015?01?29 by the Minister of Finance. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, Minister of Plantation Industries to implement the guaranteed price with effect from 2015?03?15 for the natural raw rubber produced by the Rubber Small Holders with the agreement of all the stakeholder parties who represent the rubber sector, was approved by the Cabinet.
