Memorandum of Understanding on Youth Development to be signed between the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Republic of India

- The objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed between the State Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Government of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India are to share the knowledge, experience, and resources between the parties and to develop long term cooperation between the two countries in respect of youth development. In this respect, the cooperation includes Youth Leadership and Personality Development Programmes, Youth Exchange Programmes, Youth Cultural Exchange Programmes, Exposure Programmes for the Young Entrepreneurs, etc. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, Minister of Policy Planning, Economic Affairs, Child, Youth and Cultural Affairs to enter into above Agreement, was approved by the Cabinet.
