- H.E. the President informed the Cabinet that his visit to India from 15th to 18th of this month, the first state visit after his appointment as the Head of State, on an invitation extended to him by the Government of India was highly successful and it paved the way to further strengthen the historical relationship and the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. His Excellency further stated that during his visit he has had successful bilateral discussions with His Excellency the President, the Hon. Prime Minister, the former Prime Minister and other leaders of India and had concluded four (04) Memoranda of Understanding. The Cabinet also noted that the anticipated state visit of Hon. Prime Minister of India will take place in March this year, which is the first visit by a Head of State in India since 1987.
