- having taking into consideration that the consumers do not get the benefit of the price reduction of commodities announced in the interim budget, the joint proposal submitted by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, Minister of Food Security; and Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Public Administration, Provincial Councils, Local Government and Democratic Governance to direct the Consumer Affairs Authority to publish a notification in the Government Gazette indicating the prices of items reduced, was approved by the Cabinet.
