- the Government in its 100 Day Programme has pledged to restore the ranks and rights of those who were subject to political revenge and punishment. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister to give a directive to the Secretary, Ministry of Defence, to appoint a Committee to investigate the allegations of political victimization in the Three Armed Forces, since 2010 and make recommendations to provide relief, was approved by the Cabinet.
