As per the conditions of the contract, payments have been made having measured the actual quantity of work done at the time of construction. The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Power and Energy, to pay the contractor the contract price increased, due to changes in tower types, tower quantities and foundation erection work as a result of additional activities carried out in the course of the implementation of the project, on the approval of the price variations, based on the recommendations made by the Cost Estimate Examination Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
