- the joint proposal made by the Minister of Food Security, Hon. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera; and the Minister of Finance Hon. Ravi Karunayake for the Treasury to provide the necessary provision for the Ministry of Food Security to purchase 200,000 MT of paddy by the Paddy Marketing Board during the Maha season of 2014/2015 from registered farmer organizations, through the District Secretaries, was approved by the Cabinet.
