- the Progress Report submitted by the Monitoring Committee appointed by the Cabinet to monitor the implementation of the 100 Day Programme was considered by the Cabinet. The Cabinet observed that several relief measures included in the 100 Day Programme have been made effective by the proposals made in the new Budget Speech of the Finance Minister. The Cabinet noted that action has been initiated to draft legislation with regard to the proposals that have to be implemented through amending Acts or enactment of new laws and also that the respective Ministries have been instructed to identify the measures to be adopted for implementation of proposals which require special mechanisms and take action to complete same within the stipulated time frame.
