- It was decided to appoint the following Committee to investigate whether preliminary measures had been adopted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka such as conducting Environment Impact Assessments in respect of other infrastructure facility projects like the Port City Development Project and the Northern Expressway Project other than the large scale projects operated under concessionary financing.

* Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka,
Minister of Power and Energy;

* Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne,
Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine;

* Hon. Mangala Samaraweera,
Minister of Foreign Affairs;

* Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga,
Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation;

It was also decided to request the Hon. Minister of Finance to submit a report on the tax concessions granted to these projects.
